I was so honored to have our new children's church curriculum Encountering Jesus featured on www.ignitepartnership.org. The Ignite Partnership is comprised of many passionate pastors for children, youth, and adults united around the goal of reaching the young people of the world. This website is full of great resources.

"We believe that kids can “do the stuff” of the Kingdom. Jesus said, “Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these” (John 14:12 NIV). Seven years ago, we set out on a journey to find a children’s church curriculum that would help equip the children in our local Vineyard church to experience the Holy Spirit while learning the Bible. In our search, we couldn’t find a curriculum that told the story of the Bible in a systematic, chronological approach, yet included applications of the miraculous. Because of that, we decided to develop and road-test our own Kingdom-focused curriculum that was grounded in the Biblical narrative.

The Encountering Jesus curriculum is centered strongly on the Biblical account of Jesus’ life with a focus on how to do the things that Jesus did. Starting with the story of Jesus’ birth, continuing to His ascension, this 6-month lesson plan can be used for a 1st-5th grade children’s church service. It was designed to facilitate an atmosphere where kids were not just led but were empowered to lead. Through this curriculum, we seek to create an expectation for the Holy Spirit to visit each week and lead the room into heaven on earth experiences.

The Encountering Jesus curriculum was designed to train and release kids to lead their own church services. We created a leadership team of kids that meet during the week to prepare for the following Sunday."

UPDATE: The Ignite Partnership site is no longer running, so the link below no longer works.
